Rocky Saves the Day Productions, Pathfinder Kid Stuff Records and Tapes 1983 Mixed Good For the Sylvester Stallone/Rocky collector who has EVERYTHING ELSE, how about this 1983 Rocky Read-Along Book, "Rocky Saves The Day!" Kids pop in thetape and read along with the recording of the text. The booklet to this hasa cut-out type of hole drilled through the lower spine, and it has generalwear and a bit of creasing. It's a cute little story, though, with mediumgood illustration, and the tape plays fine, although it's not Sly's actualvoice on there. Price:

Dutch language Netherlands jigsaw puzzle Ravensburger Other Very Good This puzzle is from Ravensburger. It is a puzzle of the Netherlands and thetitle on the front is Nederland-puzzle. It has 350 pieces. As far as I cantell it is all there, although I wouldn't swear to it, because I kept losing count. The box is in pretty good shape, with wear on the corners (one split) and some creases from the box being improperly stacked. The box is 11x 15 x 1 inch and it is in Dutch so I can't tell you much more about it. Nice educational tool! http://www.neonnurse.net/bookpics/ned.jpg Price:

Choice Recipes Rho Chapter of Psi Iota Xi Softcover Fair Choice Recipes is a cooking booklet which is quite old. I can't find a dateon it but the ads look like they are from the 20's or 30's. Telephone numbers on the ads are 46 and 247! The ad on the back is from the Angola Bank and Trust of Angola, Indiana. The book is softcover, 135 pages. Staple bound. It was put out by the National Organization of Charities, issued by Rho Chapter of Psi Iota Xi. The book has been well used. The cover is in rags, there are spatters of brown on a half dozen pages, and the index is missing, while the staples are rusting. The funniest thing in it is How to Cook a Husband, a short essay in the beginning. Two recipes are included as bookmarks. http://www.neonnurse.net/bookpics/choice1.jpg , http://www.neonnurse.net/bookpics/choice2.jpg , http://www.neonnurse.net/bookpics/choice3.jpg , http://www.neonnurse.net/bookpics/choice4.jpg Price:

Slight bend in book near spine from poor storage, 2 bent corners, light creases and rubbing to cover overall, but the dramatic cover art and the map-back still look great. The upper front corner of the text edge is faded due to a spill of some sort, which also makes a watermark on the upper corners of about 3/4 of the pages. Does not impair reading, NO rippling, mold or odor! Price:

Sex Endocrinology for the Medical and Allied Professions Schering Schering Hardcover Fair You would be astonished at the assorted disorders for which sex hormone therapy was being seriously touted in 1945. Or maybe not. Well, it was a bravenew world, with Science marching on, and there was nothing the bright ladsin the labs couldn't cure. This small hardbound book is interesting reading, despite the torn off spine (still present as a bookmark). Lots of interesting pictures and plates too, those non-medical types may find some a bitunsettling. Book interior is clean, tight and complete--with an intact spine the condition would be Very Good or better. Price:

Hebrew Reader for Beginners, Vol II Schonfeld, Rabbi V. 1924 Cloth Fair This little volume has been through a lot of hands since it was printed in1924 in London. The boards, light green cloth over cardboard, are heavily smudged and worn at all edges, with the cloth peeling back at the front corners. The pages are slightly yellowed, but the binding is tight and I believe the text is complete. It is volume II and seems to be aimed at children, judging from the Suggestions for the Teacher section. Tahara - Boy King of the Desert Sherman, Harold M. Goldsmith Publishing 1933 Cloth Fair Written by Harold M. Sherman, pubbed by The Goldsmith Publishing Company, 1933. This is boy's fiction, probably aimed at the junior high aged youth ofthe time, judging by the large font. In this story, Dick Oakwood, pilot and adventurer, has his monoplane hijacked by two dirty crooks. Although wounded, he parachutes into the midst of a mysterious tribe of which is the beginning of his adventures in the Sahara Desert. It's typical of the era -- the assumptions of western superiority and the prejudice against other people, religions and beliefs lace every chapter. On the other hand, it's got adashing style of prose and lots of excitement on every page. The book has wear on the edges and corners, and the spine has small tears at the top andbottom. The binding is loose, and the gutter at the front and back hinges is open, exposing the threads. The pages are yellowing and slightly brittlein spots. A fun book for anyone with a collection of boy's adventure stories. Price:
